DODT, GRACE JEAN – 2009-12-27
DODT GRACE JEAN Age 81, of Clinton Township and formerly of Berkley passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at her daughter’s home in Washington Township. She was born August 2, 1928, the daughter of Boleslav (William) and Pelagia (Pearl) (Golat) Kaminski in Garden City. She graduated from St. Casimir Roman Catholic High School in Detroit, then attended Shapiro School for Nursing in Southfield. She married her true love and best friend Joseph Norman Dodt in 1947. She worked at Oakwood Nursing Home in Royal Oak.
She is survived by children; Norman Dodt of Clinton Township, Barbara (William) Wright of Washington Township and Peggy (Bruce) Maternowski of Rochester Hills, her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who all brought sunshine to her life. She is preceded in death by her Husband Joseph Dodt in 1986. Inurnment will be made at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. A memorial will be held on a future date. Memorial donations can be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute or the Humane Society of Macomb in Grace’s name. Arrangements by Roth-Muir Funeral Home.
